Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine VR

If you’ve ever thought that being a Space Marine is easy, Space Marine VR will quickly set you straight. This is not your typical shooter – it’s a test of your reflexes, skills, and patience. Now, you get to choose how much pain you want to experience: Normal mode or Hardcore mode.

Normal mode – The classic dose of adrenaline
Normal mode is for those who want to enjoy an epic battle as a Space Marine without fighting for their life every five seconds. What awaits you?

  • Automatic Rifle (Auto Bolt Rifle) – Hold down the trigger, and your weapon will unload until the magazine is empty.
  • Standard damage – You take a regular dose of damage, but it’s still survivable.
  • Smooth gameplay – Focused on fun, but still plenty action-packed.
  • No manual reload – Focus on fighting, not fumbling with mags. In short, if you want to enjoy Space Marine VR without frustration, normal mode is perfect for you. But if you’re a little masochistic and looking for a real challenge…

Hardcore mode – The true survival test
This is where the fun stops. Hardcore mode is for those who want to experience the full Space Marine life. Prepare for blood, sweat, and rage.
What hell awaits you?

  • Bolt Rifle with manual reload – Forget the automatic fire! You must reload manually, meaning every decision in combat has consequences.
  • Two shooting modes – The Bolt Rifle can switch between single shots and three-round bursts. No blind spraying!
  • Friendly fire is active – Finally, you can settle scores with a teammate… wait, actually not! Be careful where you aim.
  • Increased damage – You’re stronger, but enemies will tear you apart faster than you can say “For the Emperor!”
  • Dynamic difficulty – The better you perform, the harder it gets. The game constantly adjusts to your performance.

Enemies that will greet you in the arena:

  • Hormagaunts – These little guys rush at you in massive waves, ready to die. They’re easy to kill, but when there are a lot of them, it can get tricky.
  • Gargoyles – Flying creatures that continuously rain fire and death on you from afar. They come in swarms, so don’t expect any romantic flights – just pure chaos.
  • Tyranid Warriors – These tanky giants will give you a serious challenge. There aren’t many of them, but when they show up, it’s like TNT and dynamite at the party.
  • Hive Tyrant (Boss) – The boss doesn’t ask what’s going on. In phase one, he fires from afar while Hormagaunts swarm your back. In phase two, he decides to get up close and personal, while Gargoyles assist him.

Weapons you can take into battle:

  • Pyreblaster (Orange) – A flamethrower that’s more than just a weapon – it’s an art. Send flames flying at short to medium range and enjoy watching enemies dance in fire.
  • Plasma Incinerator (Blue) – Hold the trigger and plasma balls will grow to apocalyptic proportions. The longer you hold, the bigger the explosion – BOOM!
  • Heavy Bolter (Yellow) – Speed, power, and enough lead to melt your enemies like popcorn in a microwave. Just release the trigger and watch everything fly through the air.
  • Melta Rifle (Purple) – Imagine a laser beam so powerful it melts everything in its path. Enemies will melt faster than they can comprehend what’s happening.

How to choose your fate?
Before you dive into the battle, the game lets you choose between normal and hardcore mode in the shooting zone. If you change your mind, you can switch the settings after your first encounter with enemies. Additionally, operators can change the mode for players anytime in the launcher menu.
Players in hardcore mode will get a special icon next to their name to show who’s the true veteran. At the end of the game, there will be a separate leaderboard for normal and hardcore players.
Tip: If someone complains that their weapon isn’t working, they’ve probably accidentally chosen the hardcore mode and didn’t realize they need to reload manually. So before you start reporting bugs, better double-check!

Which mode is right for you?
If you want maximum fun, go for normal mode. If you want to prove you’re a real Space Marine and not just a servitor on batteries, hardcore mode is for you. Whatever mode you choose, remember: In the name of the Emperor, there’s no turning back!
